Why does some flower need pollinate when in fact they doesn't need seeds to multiply?

i've been researching in yahoo for almost 3 days now and still cant find the answer to my question.

Why does some flower need pollinate when in fact they doesn't need seeds to multiply?
Plants don't need seeds to multiply. They need flowers and pollination. Seeds come in the fruit that is a result of the flowering.

Reply:Lots of plants can spread without seeds, but all those plants are clones of the mother plant. Seeds come from sexual reproduction... two plants 'mate', the pollen of one fertilizing the egg in the pistil of another. This is how you get variety. if conditions change, some of the plants can adapt. If all the plants were the same genetically, they could be wiped out. So even though some plants spread primarily without seeds, some seeds will always be made for insurance of survival.
