If you plant flower seeds to deep will they still eventually come up?

I planted them to deep i guess. it's been about three weeks and the only thing coming up so far are weeds.

It depends on the seeds. Some of them need a bit of light to germinate and some will rot if they are too deep.





Follow the instructions on the seed packets, or look them up on the Internet.
Reply:It probably would depend on what kind of seed you planted, if you planted a seed that was very fine, it might not. If it was a sunflower seed, you might have better luck. I tend to plant them too deep also, probably why I don't have much luck with seed. Also depends on what kind of dirt you have and how you are watering.
