I am trying to find out how to harvest impatience flower seeds?

When the flowers die and turn into seed pods, take a paper bag and put the seed pods in it.Put the bag in a cool ,dry, dark place. When Spring arrives ,take the bag and shake it, all the seeds will be in the bottom of bag. Then plant them either out side or in starter trays inside.

they have little pods on them that are full of seeds. you just squeeze them and the seeds will fly out. just put them in an envelope and label them and plant in the spring. beautiful flowers! good luck!
Reply:you don't say where you live..but this is what i always do...pull them up shake them where ever ...and they come up next year. they are pretty much a weed...i would say that if you wanted you could shake them over paper and see the seeds to keep.i have lived in the Atlanta area.
Reply:try this place
Reply:They won't bloom true to the parent plant. Impatiens (aka: Busy Lizzies) like most french marigolds are hybrids.

By the way, it's IMPATIENS, not impatience. That's what I get when I see incorrect spellings.
