depends the flower, and what they like for temps, and if they can take a frost or not.
Go here http://www.victoryseeds.com/frost/ click on Ohio, and then look at your area, that is your average last frost date. If your last frost date has already happened More than likely your safe to plant anything.
I live in southern Ohio whats the best time to sow my flower seeds outside?
i live in cynthiana, ky which is about 50 miles or so south of cincinnati...depending on how far you are from the border line next weekend, mothers day weekend, is ususally the best time to start planting gardens and annuals.
it very seldom frosts after mothers day weekend but 3 yrs ago it did frost on may 21 but that is rare for it to happen
we always go by mothers day weekend as a rule of thumb every year so there will be no problems
