In Texas what is good type soil to plant nursery caliber flower seeds?

I've tried miracle grow potting mix and it seems to have too many sticks to work well. Soil mixture goes to the bottom. What can I buy?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'nursery caliber' flower seeds, but it really shouldn't make a difference. You need to look for a mix specifically for seed starting - your local nurseries should carry it. Stay away from 100% peat (hard to keep moist). What are you putting the soil in?
Reply:Walmart carries a generic top soil (or potting soil for that matter) that I have had success with.
