Advertized o TV a "carpet" carrying flower seeds: just lay out on and add water. Flowers grow..?

It's the same thing as sod, or "carpet" grass, yeah it works, but I wouldn't get it... You don't get much quality at all with these "easy to do, make your life easy" products, really all your doing is sacrificing quality for luxury. I wish you well!

Waste of money and time! Go to your local Garden Center and tell them about what you want and they will recommend something. Don't go to a mega-store like Home Depot or Loews the employees usually are not garden savvy!
Reply:I did that once. It was a pretty neat array of flowers. They bloomed all summer. Just keep it watered. You still have to de-weed the ground before laying your seed carpet down. Weeding during the season is less than normal. If you have limited time or an aversion to actually digging in and handling dirt, then I'd say it's worth a try.
Reply:I've tried these and they didn't work for me! Some the flowers didn't grow at all and others were so scanty and puny looking that I will never try them again.
Reply:yes they do, but they are not the greatest flowers, plus they are quite pricy compared to normal seeds
