I'm in Wisconsin, when would you say I should plant my flower seeds.?

gotta love Wisconsin...72 degrees on day and 38 degrees the next...LOL Wisconsin is zone 5 for planting so you need to wait until after the last threat of frost unless you are planting in a very protective area. I usually don't plant until the end of may, but I live in southern Wisconsin, if you are further up north you should wait a couple more weeks. and you might want to consider starting your seeds in the house, you can start with that now.

WHEN YOU ARE POSITIVE THAT YOU WON'T HAVE ANY MORE FROST OR SNOW PARTICULARLY WHEN THE TEMPERTURE IS AVOVE 40 AT NIGHT
Reply:Well you're in luck I work for the largest garden retailer in Wisconsin, Stein Gardens %26amp; Gifts, and we tell our customers right around the end of May and possibly before if you're sure that we will not be receiving any frost in your area.
Reply:I believe you are in the same zone as me, in Ohio. I never plant before Memorial Day. The risk of frost makes the danger of the plant shoots dying a big one.
Reply:Not until the end of May probably
Reply:For a sure answer, call up your nearest greenhouse (or gardening neighbor) and ask. Seeds themselves are fairly hardy and can usually survive a frost, but seedlings and new root systems are very sensitive and a frost will kill them, so plant when there's no real concern of frost. If you do experience a cold snap after you've planted your seeds, usually covering your gardens with a tarp or blanket will protect them as long as the ground doesn't freeze.
Reply:when there is no more danger of frost if planting outside
Reply:if your going to start them on the house this week is a good time if out side I plant the end of april I live in WIS %26amp; am in zone 5 if you look on the back of the seed packet it will tell you what zone you live in good luck %26amp; enjoy
