2 cups sunflower seeds

1/2 cup tahini

1/4 cup lemon juice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 stalk celery, finely chopped

1 tablespoon minced onion

Toast seeds in a frying pan over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes stirring non-stop, until lightly browned.

Transfer the hot seeds to a bowl and mix well with tahini, stirring well to coat all seeds. Spread seeds out in a single layer and cool to room temperature.

While cooling, combine juice and garlic in a small bowl. Set aside.

Put seeds in food processor or hand held blender along with the juice mixture, soy sauce, celery, minced onion and water; blend until the mixture is fairly fine. Cover and refrigerate if not using the spread within 15 minutes. If spread firms up mix in a tablespoon of water.

Banana Sunflower Seed Cookies

1/2 c Oil

2 md Bananas

1/2 c Sugar

1 1/2 c Flour

1 c Sunflower seeds

1 ts Baking soda

Bananas should be really ripe. Preheat oven to 350. Peel and mash bananas. In large bowl, beat oil, bananas, and sugar. Mix flour with sunflower seeds and soda. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 15 minutes, until edges are golden brown. I got this recipe from my Grandmother. They are really wonderful cookies, moist, chewy, and nutty. She makes them with only 1/2 cup sugar and they taste great! Shared by Pattye Zensen

Make a normal salad with the cucumber, tomato and lettuce and grate the carrot on top.

Cut up chunks of feta cheese and add in. Cut one avacado into chunks, make sure they are not smushed and add it in.

Put on a lot of sunflower seeds for bite and add the juice of one lemon and lime and add pepper to taste.
