Where is the best place to buy seeds?

I'm looking for a common, easily accessible store to purchase flower seeds for home growing.

Where is the best place to buy seeds?
Lowes or Home Depo, Westlake Hardware or even Wal-Mart.

Reply:You can find common and easy to grow flowers online too.

It is a nursery. http://pjnursery.cblinkenterprise.com
Reply:I've bought from Burpee by mail and have found that the less expensive brands carried by Walmart (often under the Burpee name, too) are just as good. For bulk seed go to an Ace Hardware store, or try a farmstore. If you're wanting to grow a large garden, bulk is the way to go.

By the way, I think it's probably too late to start flowers. Get a headstart by ordering as many catalogs as you can find, then pore over them this winter, write down the types you want, and buy them at Walmart.

Depending on where you live, start them early inside-some can be sown outside after all danger of frost is gone, but I find that I lose more seed that way, they don't come up or get lost in the weeds.

Reply:I buy them on ebay.. they are cheep and usually come in bulk.. plus there are a lot of unique plants and flowers that are hard to find in the stores!!
Reply:The best place to buy common seed is places like Walmart and Lowes. the only problem being that these box stores have already returned their seed for the year. they usually do this sometime in june. If you have a local garden center, they may keep there seeds in stock a little longer. If all else fails and your just itching to buy some seeds now shop on the internet. You can always buy from ferry morse. They have a website that is always 40% off. Park seed is also a good site. You can go to their website as well as many others and sign up for their catalogs and newsletters. You will also get notices of internet sales. Thompson morgan carries common seeds as well as many not so common. They have a sale going on now with all seeds being 50% off. Offer lasts unitl July 2nd. Like someone said if you want to wait until next year order all those catalogs. If you wanna plant before order you some herbs or perennials that you can start now or in the fall. Good luck with your garden.
Reply:I always buy mine from a nursery, because they have people who know a lot about flowers that can help you.
